TVNerd is a website that reviews, compares, and explains TV services, Internet providers, and other tech products and services.
Contrary to popular misconception, TVNerd is not your cable provider. We are an independent website providing independent informational content on such services.
To that end, TVNerd maintains referral and affiliate relationships with some of the providers, services, and/or products covered. This website began as a personal blog, and affiliate agreements allow it to remain free of pesky pop-ups, creepy ads that track your every move, and other nuisances found on “free” websites. It also helps cover costs associate with the site, like hosting, security, and the pretty new visual design you’re looking at.
These agreements do not affect the content in our reviews — as you will probably notice if you take a stroll through some of our “less favorable” reviews of cable corporations. Affiliate agreements are a common method of monetizing informational content available freely online, from your favorite YouTuber to major news outlets.
While you’re here, I should also note that while we strive to maintain up-to-date information on data like pricing, promotional offers, and service details, these things are prone to change. There is no warranty on anything presented on this site, and you must review and confirm all terms with the provider or seller directly before finalizing any decision.
Long story short: we are a source of advice, not a service provider. Content on this site is based on detailed analysis of services and products, and strives to present the facts rather than the “marketing fluff.” We sincerely hope that you find it useful in your search for TV, Internet, and technology services.
